Dr. Suresh Poosala is the Founder of Acasta Health Pvt Ltd., He is a leader, scientist and motivator.

Dr. Suresh Poosala is the Founder of Acasta Health Pvt Ltd., He is a leader, scientist and motivator with more than three decades of international experience in fostering science, innovation and collaborative culture, by building and nurturing high-performing teams. His career spans scientific excellence in discovery and research, which resulted in high impact publications in high visibility international journals including Nature and he created exceptional quality in vivo facilities and created trained teams for R&D. He has succeeded as a leader in enabling great collaborations between CROs and Discovery programs, academia and industry, and between many strategic partners. He returned to India after 25 years at NIH, Washington, Bristol-Myers Squibb, San Francisco, University of Maryland, Baltimore, and St. Jude’s Research, Memphis. As Chief of Comparative Medicine at the National Institute on Aging, he led programs and was instrumental in the AGEMAP research. He launched a startup after his return to India and is participating in several active advisory roles and partnerships, his way of giving back to Science in India. He is on the executive committee of FABA and has leadership advisory roles at VCR park Pvt Ltd., and GVRP Pvt Ltd.,

Dr. Murali Mohan Gavara is the Lead of Regenerative Medicine as well as Principal Scientist at Acasta Health Pvt Ltd.

Dr. Murali Mohan Gavara is the Lead of Regenerative Medicine as well as Principal Scientist at Acasta Health Pvt Ltd. He is a strong Research professional with a Masters in Biochemistry from Andhra University and a Doctorate degree from GITAM (Deemed to be University) with specialization in Cancer Biology and he done his research on Triple Negative Breast Cancer.He is basically a Cancer Biologist with Immunology, Molecular biology, ROS, Molecular pathways, Drug Discovery, Bioinformatics and 3D Bioprinting.

Currently he is working on Regenerative Therapies

Earlier he worked as a Senior Research Scientist in Virology laboratory in the Department of Microbiology, Andhra Medical College/ AMC & Dr. Remedies Labs Pvt Ltd, during Covid-19 Emergency. He also worked as a Senior Scientist-R&D at ReaGeneBioScience Pvt Ltd on Human 3Dbioprinted platforms for translational drug discovery.

Sravani Polavarapu

Sravani Polavarapu works as a Research Assistant. She did her Bachleros in life sciences and Masters in Biochemistry.

Sravani Polavarapu works as a Research Assistant. She did her Bachleros in life sciences and Masters in Biochemistry from the Andhra University, Vishakhapatnam.

She has excellent hands on training in mammalian cell culture and molecular biology and also helps in logistics management.

Arpana Gopi Panicker, Scientist – II has completed her Masters in Microbiology from Amrita School of Biotechnology, Amrita University and Advanced Post Graduate Diploma in Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine from Manipal Institute of Regenerative Medicine. She has over 7 year’s experience working in academic research labs (National Institute of Biological Sciences (NCBS), Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane – Australia) and industry with expertise in handling induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), derivation of iPSCs and differentiation in to multiple lineages, bone marrow derived mesenchymal stem cells (BM-MSCs) and their osteogenic potential on scaffolds comprising various polymers, development of disease-on-a-chip model using microfluidic technology, CRISPR-Cas9 genome editing of iPSCs and derivation of hepatic and cardiac spheroids.

Akshay Sonawane, being an Associate Project Director, manages Acasta portfolio by managing all the projects. Akshay is certified project management professional with dual post-graduation in Biotechnology from Institute of Bioinformatics and Biotechnology, Pune University. Having a sound background in academic and industrial research, he is venturing his career in project management with his excellent people and time management skills. He manages Acasta project portfolio while applying standard project management practices.

Nikita Naik , Research Associate II, is a post graduate in Genetic Manipulation and Molecular Cell Biology from University of Sussex, UK

Nikita is a post graduate in Genetic Manipulation and Molecular Cell Biology from University of Sussex, UK. She is a young researcher with strong foundations in Molecular Biology and is passionate about personalized medicine and Cancer Genetics. She is experienced in Bioinformatics, Microbiology and Molecular Biology techniques. Her previous work on independent research projects during her studies, as well her previous work experience in Oncoseek Bio Pvt Ltd, has provided her opportunities to take initiative, and work both independently and in collaboration. In her position as Research Associate II, she is actively involved in multiple in-house programs. In addition, her experience in writing grants and in general scientific writing also contributes in her role in Acasta Health Pvt Ltd.
